Teaching on WeVersity offers a unique opportunity to share your expertise, reach learners worldwide, and build a meaningful educator profile. The sign-up process also serves as your application to become an instructor. Here’s a step-by-step guide to get started:
Sign Up and Apply as an Instructor
To get started, you’ll need to sign up and submit your instructor application:
- Click the “Become an Instructor” button on the WeVersity homepage.
- Fill out the sign-up form with details like your first name, last name, email, password, and phone number.
- After submitting the form, you’ll be directed to log in to your account.
- Once logged in, you’ll be taken to your dashboard. At this stage, your application will be under review; please note that you will not be able to upload or manage courses at this time.
Wait for Application Approval
After you complete your sign-up, our team will review your application. During this review period, you won’t have the ability to upload courses or edit content.
Review Timeline & Next Steps
Our team typically reviews applications within 24–48 hours. You will receive an email notification once your instructor status has been verified. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore your dashboard and begin setting up your profile.
Once your application is approved, you will gain access to instructor-specific permissions, and the Upload a Course button will appear in your dashboard, allowing you to start creating and managing courses.
Set Up Your Instructor Profile
Once your application is approved, it’s time to complete your instructor profile. Your profile is what students will see when considering enrolling in your courses, so make sure it’s engaging and reflective of your expertise.
- Profile Photo: Upload a clear, professional photo of yourself.
- Teaching Bio: Write a few paragraphs introducing yourself, highlighting your expertise, and describing the types of courses you plan to offer.
- Skills and Subjects: List the subjects or skills you teach so learners can easily find you.
- Sample Content (optional): Upload a short lesson, guide, or resource to give learners a preview of your teaching style.
Explore Your Instructor Dashboard
Once your profile is complete, you’ll have full access to your instructor dashboard, which includes several key features. Take some time to explore these tools before publishing your first course.
- Upload a Course: After your application is approved, you’ll be able to upload new courses or edit existing ones.
- Manage Content: Edit and update lessons, resources, and activities.
- Student Discussions: Engage with students, answer questions, and provide additional guidance.
- Analytics: Track enrollments, course completion rates, and student feedback.
Creating Your First Course
Once you are ready to share your knowledge, follow these steps to build your course:
- Define Your Structure:Divide your course into logical sections and lessons. A clear roadmap helps students follow along easily.
- Upload Content: Use the "Upload a Course" tool to add video lessons, presentation slides, PDFs, and other learning materials.
- Add Interactive Elements: Enhance learning by adding quizzes, assignments, or discussion prompts to your lessons.
- Submit for Review: Once your content is ready, submit your course. Our team will perform a final quality check to ensure it meets our guidelines.

Once your course is live, you’re ready to begin sharing your knowledge with WeVersity’s learners. Start with a short lesson or workshop, and use learner feedback to grow and expand your course offerings.
