What You Need Before Setting Up Your Fiverr Seller Profile

Prepare these five things first, and the whole setup takes one sitting.

• A computer or a mobile browser. Fiverr confirms that its Android and iOS apps do not support profile creation or editing. On a phone, open fiverr.com in Chrome or Safari instead.
• A clear, recent photo of yourself.
• One service you can deliver today. For example, Shopify store setup or social media post design.
• Two or three work samples. Practice projects count. The next section shows you how to create them.
• Your CV or LinkedIn profile as a PDF (optional). Fiverr can read it and fill most fields for you.

What to Put on Fiverr If You Have No Experience

Fiverr does not ask for a degree or past clients. Buyers simply need evidence that you can do the work. If you are starting from zero, build that evidence in this order:

How to Create a Fiverr Profile as a Beginner in 9 Steps

Step 1: Click “Become a Seller."

Sign in, click your profile picture, then click Become a Seller.

Step 2: Upload Your CV or Fill In Your Details

You can upload a PDF of your resume, CV, or LinkedIn export (maximum 10 MB) and review what it fills in, or you can add each section by hand. The upload saves time, but check every field it fills.

Step 3: Choose a Display Name That Passes Review

Fiverr recommends your first name plus the first letter of your last name, such as “Ayesha K.” According to Fiverr’s display name guide, your display name should:

• Use your real name or a name that clearly represents you
• Stay within 15 characters
• Leave out service words such as “SEO” or "design."
• Leave out level words such as “Pro,” “Level 1,” “Top Rated,” or "Fiverr."

Fiverr now accepts AI-generated images if they meet these rules and represent you accurately. Fiverr’s Community Standards still ban fake photos and false identities. Our advice for beginners: use a real photo. A buyer paying a stranger wants to see the person behind the work.

Step 5: Write a Title Without Banned Words

Your title is the short tagline under your name. Fiverr asks you to avoid descriptive words such as “expert,” “best,” and “Fiverr,” and to keep it truthful. A simple formula works for every niche: [Your service] for [your client type].

Step 6: Write an About Section That Speaks to Clients

Most beginners write about themselves. Buyers want to read about their own problem. Use this four-part structure:

1. Who you help
2. The problem you solve for them
3. Your proof: training, certificates, or sample projects
4. An invitation to message you about their project

Fiverr’s rules for this section: be honest, be original, write in English without grammar errors, and leave out phone numbers, emails, company names, URLs, and payment details. One documented quirk: add a space after the final full stop of each sentence, or the section may not save.

Step 7: Add Languages, Skills, and Experience Levels

List every language you can work in with an honest proficiency level. In skills, name the real tools you use, such as Shopify, Canva, WordPress, or Google Analytics.

Step 8: Add Education, Work History, and Certifications

No degree is required. Add the proof you built in the no experience section above: course certificates, free certifications, internships, and volunteer work. WeVersity students can add their course certificate and internship here.

Step 9: Add an Intro Video When Eligible

Fiverr’s intro video guide says intro videos are for freelancers who have a level, so most brand new sellers will not see this option yet. Plan your video now and upload it once you reach Level 1. When you do, Fiverr requires:

• A length of 20 to 60 seconds
• You on camera, introducing yourself
• English speech or English subtitles
• No contact details and no requests to talk outside Fiverr
• No Fiverr badges, levels, or rating stars

A simple script: your name, your service, who you help, one sample result, and an invitation to message you.

When you finish the profile form, click Continue. Fiverr asks whether you work as an individual or a team, then takes you to your freelancer dashboard.

How to Make Your New Fiverr Profile Visible to Buyers

Clicking Continue does not publish your profile. Fiverr makes it visible only after you complete the new freelancer onboarding tasks on your dashboard.

• Open your freelancer dashboard.
• Complete every onboarding task listed there.
• Verify your phone number to secure your account.
• Open your profile and check it the way a buyer would see it.

To edit anything later, go to your dashboard, click View profile, click the pencil icon next to the field, and save.

Pakistan does not change its clocks, but the US and UK do, so the gap shifts by an hour twice a year. Reply within 24 hours: Fiverr measures how often you reply to new messages within 24 hours over the last 90 days, and this response rate counts toward your seller level.

Set Up Payments the Right Way

Pakistani sellers usually withdraw through Payoneer. Fiverr’s Payoneer guide lists these options:

• One payout account per Fiverr account. A withdrawal method can be linked to only one Fiverr account, so do not reuse a sibling’s or friend’s Payoneer that is already connected to another Fiverr profile.
• A 24-hour wait applies after you add or change a Payoneer method, and you can keep only one active Payoneer method at a time.
